The Boston Terrier is a breed of dog originating in the United States of America. Also know as the "American Gentleman" Their color and markings are important when distinguishing this breed. They should be either black, brindle or seal with white markings. Bostons are small and compact with a short tail and erect ears. Boston Terrier are friendly and can be stubborn at times. The average life span of a Boston is around 11 to 13 years, though some can live well into their teens.

The dachshund is a short-legged, long-bodied dog breed belonging to the hound family. The Shiba Inu is a small, agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain, the Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting. It looks similar to and is often mistaken for other Japanese dog breeds like the Akita Inu or Hokkaido, but the Shiba Inu is a different breed with a distinct blood line, temperament and smaller size than other Japanese dog breeds. It is one of the few ancient dog breeds still in existence in the world today.

The Dalmatian is a mid-sized, well-defined, muscular dog with excellent endurance and stamina. The body is as long from forechest to buttocks as it is tall at the withers, and the shoulders are laid back. The Dalmatian's feet are round with well-arched toes, and the nails are usually white or the same colour as the dog's spots. The thin ears taper towards the tip and are set fairly high and close to the head. The Italian Greyhound has a long slender legs and a long neck that tapers down to a small head. The face is long and pointed, like a full sized greyhound. Overall, they look like "miniature" Greyhounds. The Italian Greyhound makes a good companion dog and enjoys the company of people. The Shar Pei, or Chinese Shar-Pei, is a breed of dog known for its distinctive features of deep wrinkles and a blue-black tongue. The breed comes from China. The name (沙皮) translates to "sand skin" and refers to the texture of its short, rough coat. As puppies, Shar Pei have numerous wrinkles, but as they mature, these wrinkles loosen and spread out as they "grow into their skin".
